How is ImagineIO installed?

ImagineIO is an Ignition 8.3 module (.modl). Install it on your gateway, restart, and the AI chat panel appears as a dockable frame in the Designer next to your Tag Browser.

Do I have to send my designs to the cloud?

No. ImagineIO is model-agnostic. You can run a fully local model with Ollama, vLLM, or LM Studio so nothing leaves your network — or connect OpenAI or Claude if you prefer a cloud model.

Where are my API keys stored?

Cloud provider keys are stored gateway-side only, masked in the UI, and never exposed to Designer scope, your project repo, or logs.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and remain active through the end of your billing period. The free trial requires no credit card.

Does it work with third-party components?

Yes. ImagineIO introspects whatever components are installed in your Designer at runtime, so custom and third-party modules are supported automatically.
